Bill Kaulitz was born on September 1st, 1989, and along with his identical twin brother, Tom, grew up in Leipzig. When in 2005 the big breakthrough of Tokio Hotel came, in 2006 Bill left t
he school. He finished it after he took correspondence course. For his "exemplary academic achievement" he was awarded in April 2009 with the Youth Award distance learning. Since November 2008, there is a wax figure of the singer at Madame Tussauds in Berlin. With his 19 years, he was the youngest artist to receive this honor ever bestowed.
